About Us

Auspicious Cloud Divider

Dragons Voice CIC is a Greater Manchester-based community cultural organisation. Rooted in the diverse cross-cultural experiences of Chinese communities in the UK, we create opportunities for people across generations and backgrounds to share stories, preserve memories, participate in cultural activities and build community connections.

Our work brings together community broadcasting, oral history, digital storytelling, cultural education, community heritage, wellbeing and public engagement. Through radio and podcasts, film and digital media, interviews, community events, cultural workshops and collaborative projects, we explore migration, family and intergenerational relationships, identity and belonging, cultural traditions and practices, everyday life, mental health and wellbeing, and the ways these experiences change within cross-cultural contexts.

Community Collection

Building on our experience in community broadcasting and cultural activities, Dragon's Voice is developing a community collection and digital archive documenting the voices, oral histories, photographs, films, documents, event materials, object stories and everyday histories of Chinese communities in Greater Manchester.

We see heritage not as a fixed tradition, but as something continually shaped through migration, family, memory, language, everyday practice and cross-cultural life.
